DML - Why blocking DHT is important for healthy hair and hair follicles
Why is blocking DHT important for healthy hair and hair follicles?
DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is an androgenic hormone produced from testosterone by the action of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. When high levels of DHT are produced, it can bind to the androgenic receptors in hair follicles, disrupt the hair follicle and cause hair loss. Blocking the production of DHT is a key way to help maintain healthy hair follicles and hair growth. [i]
