DML - Why doesn’t my topical product have an expiration date on the label?
Expiration dates serve as a guideline for how long an ingestible product remains potent and effective. However, the FDA supplement act does not require topical products to contain an expiration date.
Products will slowly weaken with age; however, since our topicals are completely sealed from air and light, they should continue to hold their beneficial value for at least 3 years following production if kept out of extreme temperatures. This is probably why the FDA doesn’t require dates.
